Modular texture test

The main level will contain a few large buildings, mainly the aztec temples. This texture and modelling test was done to find an effective way of keeping a high texel density to prevent blurry textures whilst not having a huge impact on performance with large texture sizes.



Variations can be easily created this way whilst reusing the texture.


Final test in unity
  • After FBX is imported into unity a collider is applied and the material
  • The meshes are then put together together to create a prefab which can have the building script applied if it is a function-able building e.g. the main bases
